Dominique Ropion is a French IFF perfumer regarded by peers as one of the most technically gifted in the field, and comes from a family tied to perfumery. He is known for powerful, impeccably built compositions: Une Fleur de Cassie, Carnal Flower and Portrait of a Lady for Frédéric Malle, Alien for Mugler, plus mass hits such as Lancôme La Vie Est Belle and (with others) Flower by Kenzo.
